In this unit we are going to learn about>

. By watching videos
. Learning new concepts with Science-Bits.
. Making a new project.
. Elaborating a practice in the lab related to Geotropism.

2. NEW PROJECT :: YOUR INTERACTION VIDEO

To learn more about this unit we are going to make a new proyect.

These are the instructions:

1
You will have to make a video where you will explain different kind of interactions (with the environment, between living organisms or with an individual own systems, which is called coordination).

If you find very difficult to make a video, you could make a presentation using images that you take, images from internet or even some drawings that you draw (like a cartoon, etc).





Here you can read the guide to write the script (you will have to give it to us as another assessment task)


 2 You will have to complete the visual information of the video by narrating in English what is going on.

  





3 If you want, you can add subtittles to help your mates to understand what you are explaining.






4 You can make the video by yourself or with another mates (they                   don´t neccesary have to be your team mates. Maximum 4-5 people per team).


5 When the proyects are finished we will watch them in the class to share our experiences with our mates and teachers.

There will be some awards to the most: creative, amazing, welldone...

Go to the Science-Bits Responses to the Environment Unit, page 21: responses in Plants (I).

1. Write down in your note book the definition of the following concepts and the types that are included in each cathegory:


- TROPISMS

- NASTIC MOVEMENTS




2. Click in the activities and try to solve them with youR team mates (activities 1 to 5).

Put 1 example of each of the 3 interactions you have to prepare for the video Project, indicating in the three cases the following things:

. Stimulus
. Receptor Organ.
. Coordination System.
. Effector Organ.
. Type of response (motor or endocrine)
. Make a drawing of the example.
